Flexibility and change management is a key aspect of the Operations Manager role. The ideal candidate will need to be equally able to adapt and lead in high-volume environments and be comfortable with direct interaction with clients and service team members, networking internally to research and resolve client operational issues, all while moving the team forward to new opportunities. To be effective in this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to build and sustain strong relationships with internal partners across multiple locations; ensure service levels and client needs are met or exceeded daily; continuously identify opportunities for efficiency and operational excellence. Developing operational specialists to ensure all goals and objectives are met while cultivating the Schwab culture. Partnership and teamwork are crucial skills for success in this position.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
This Operations Manager will have direct supervisory responsibilities over 6+ direct reports and must maintain an engaging team approach. The manager ensures that all functions are performed in an efficient and accurate manner within Schwab policies and procedures while proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements. Providing appropriate levels of employee development is another important aspect of this role, including providing feedback, coaching, oversight and supervision as well as employee performance evaluations. This team is uniquely positioned to be transformed over the next year by establishing a dedicated support model to enhance Schwab’s offering to our participants and clients.

Required Qualifications
- 5 + years of work experience preferably in financial services, operations or client service
- Experience in leadership within a position or leadership training
- Proven experience with formal efficiency or quality programs a plus
- Skills in coaching and developing people at all performance levels
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
- Change management expertise and a transformational mindset
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in order to apply sound judgment on a daily basis
- Sound judgment in ambiguous situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience working in an environment requiring multi-tasking and effective prioritization
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus and incentive opportunities.
