Charles Schwab Trust Bank (CSTB), provides trust, custody, and sub-custody services to our clients, who are third party administrators, plan advisors and plan sponsors. Operations’ goal is to meet the needs of RBS and RPS by providing superior back-office service and efficient, scalable processes to lower expenses for our constituents.

The Operations organization within CSTB is comprised of 2 departments and 8 teams, providing back-office support for the retirement industry. The 2 departments provide superior operational support across trading and cashiering related functions, including, but not limited to, trading, income processing, account setup, transfer of assets, incoming and outgoing cash, tax remittance, client invoicing and accounts receivable, and many additional back-office functions.   

What you’ll do:

As an individual contributor with a strong understanding of the retirement market, this position is responsible for understanding detailed operational processes across 8 teams, performing process reviews, executing appropriate risk mitigation, and driving efficiency through process improvements. This is a detail-oriented position, where success will be driven by long-term initiatives and the ability to create a robust roadmap of continuous improvement.

The manager position will be responsible for a portfolio of risk mitigation initiatives, creating scalable processes within operations and increasing productivity metrics. This position will also play a key role in many project initiatives and providing support across many vendors.

  • Detailed, working knowledge of the industry and CSTB systems
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
  • Produce innovative solutions for process efficiencies across the organization
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to create and foster strong relationships across staff, leadership, and business partners
  • Strong critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and clearly
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, Access, and Word
  • College degree or equivalent

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
