Charles Schwab Trust and Custody Services (TCS) provides trust and custody services for retirement plans, primarily 401(k) plans. Schwab Trust Bank serves Schwab’s bundled retirement product, and is the industry leader in providing trading and custody services through Independent Record Keepers. This role within Charles Schwab Trust Bank will assist with the development and evolution of our Salesforce application and is responsible for contributing to efforts from concept to implementation. They will work within a Scrum Agile team overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, with involvement in planning, design and implementation of new and existing features and capabilities. The Salesforce Sr Specialist Manager will be part of a team that delivers retirement experiences that puts clients first. You will play a critical role in supporting strategy for Salesforce design, reporting, integrations, and will work collaboratively with not only the immediate team, but also across the broader Schwab organization.
Our ideal candidate will have solid relationship building skills, a blend of Salesforce and technology product experience, as well as having experience in the retirement business space.
What you will do:
- Deliver Salesforce data model, integration, and reporting capabilities to support bold growth and service goals and maintain a competitive differentiation for Schwab.
- Contribute to the overall strategy and roadmap to evolve Salesforce capabilities that support Retirement Business Services and firm business objectives.
- Collaborate within the team and greater organization to generate new ideas for future product development based on interactions with partners, clients, and prospects.
- Adherence to Agile methodologies by participating in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, backlog prioritization, user story preparation, and demos.
- Execute consistently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead multiple concurrent initiatives and consistently meet deadlines
- Work cross-functionally with technical, design, business counterparts to define product requirements and updates based on ongoing client-driven needs analysis.
- Ability to create and review training materials as well as lead the facilitation and training of Salesforce capabilities/features.
- Assist the teamLead efforts to integrate feedback from metrics, clients, stakeholders and customers into recommendations for improving delivery and evolving our operating models and agile frameworks.
What you have

Required Qualifications
3-5 years of Salesforce design and reporting experience, prior retirement plan experience preferred.
Salesforce administrator certification preferred. Multiple certifications preferred.
Experience with Service Cloud and Sales Cloud required.
Strategic problem solver with the ability to implement solutions to achieve positive outcomes
Solid understanding base and experience in Salesforce Configuration & Administration
Confidence discussing ongoing efforts with a variety of audiences, including peers and team leadership
Proven ability to manage projects efficiently, meeting timelines without impacting ongoing business operations
- Ability to identify business critical initiatives, lead discovery sessions, and design scalable workflow solutions that address business needs while maintaining platform integrity.
Curiosity, a can-do demeanor, and the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a complex, dynamic environment.
Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills and ability to execute on multiple projects
Skilled at working cross-functionally with technology, service, marketing, and many other teams to execute the lifecycle of a digital platform.
Bachelor’s degree required and/or 2+ years Salesforce design and development experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Financial industry experience in the Retirement Business or Retail space (401k retirement, Asset Management, Independent Record Keepers, Recordkeeping, etc.).
Knowledge, Experience Cloud and/or experience with any of these applications are a plus: Pega, Jira, Confluence.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
