Schwab’s Workplace Branch organization is at the heart of our firm’s commitment tohelping Workplace (SPS, RPS, DBS) participants own their financial futures. In this exciting role, you’ll introduce plan participants to the breadth of Schwab’s Retail and Workplace offerings through a planning-led approach.

As a Workplace Investment Consultant, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment that encourages your ability to take charge of your own professional journey with our supportive, nurturing culture and diverse set of career opportunities. The first foray into the path towards becoming a Workplace Financial Consultant (WFC) at Schwab, the IC role provides the exposure and experience required to advance in this challenging space. You’ll learn what it takes to build relationships through proactive, outbound calls to active and terminated Workplace participants, uncovering opportunities through needs-based analysis and positioning appropriate products and solutions. You’ll observe our skilled ACs & FCs and learn how to deliver unparalleled value and service through collaboration and mentoring.

What you have


Required:

  • A valid and active Series 7 license is required (license may be obtained under a condition of employment through Branch Network Licensing Program)
  • A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license required (license(s) may be obtained under a condition of employment)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of WM issues, how to identify client needs, and effectively deliver portfolio level advice experience
  • Knowledge of Equity and Retirement Plan types preferred
  • Excellent consultative, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to leverage business development experience and effectively manage sales pipeline
  • Passion for gaining knowledge of brokerage/banking products and services 

Pursuant to SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the NMLS registry system and remain in good standing. You will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process.
