Retail Field Enablement

The Retail Field Enablement team supports Investor Services field professionals in delivering exceptional service and deepening relationships with Retail clients. We do this through a combination of functions across project intake and capacity planning, the design and implementation of field readiness and adoption strategies for cross-channel initiatives, the optimization of knowledge content and execution of field communication strategies.

Director, Strategy & Initiatives - Field Content AI Readiness (PL)

As artificial intelligence transforms the way individuals access information and support—including our client-facing Retail professionals—it is essential to optimize our internal content for AI. This process involves structuring, clarifying, and enriching content so that AI systems can effectively interpret, reference, and summarize it, while implementing robust procedures to maintain accuracy and currency. A comprehensive and well-communicated strategy for content optimization will be imperative, given the current decentralized model of content ownership.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide visionary leadership by establishing and guiding an AI Content Readiness pillar dedicated to advancing the AI readiness of content that Retail professionals use to serve clients
  • This Content pillar will partner with other AI readiness pillars for data, tools, processes and people. Combined these pillars will provide the inputs and context required for agentic AI capabilities at Schwab
• Develop and activate a multi-phase program to optimize and evolve content for seamless use by AI systems such as Schwab Knowledge Assistant and Schwab Research Assistant
• Serve as the business owner for the Retail AI readiness content roadmap, priorities and measuring outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-enterprise content owners including Operations, Marketing, Bank, WAMS, SAM and SCFR accordingly to gain commitment to add and augment content
• Establish an AI content quality measurement framework to support regular engagement with content owners on addressing feedback and content improvements
• Collaborate with Digital Rep Solutions including UX, Product, and Technology to enhance AI capabilities
• Educate and influence stakeholders to take action through clear, executive-level communication, training, and enablement initiatives

What you have

To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have. The ideal candidate will possess the following capabilities:

• 10+ years of financial services and marketing content and capability experience with strong knowledge and expertise in program and content management and marketing principles
• Proven people leadership experience
• Demonstrated experience building relationships and working with cross-functional teams to design the strategy for and deliver field-facing initiatives that require support from functions across the firm
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills, able to lead their own team as well as partners in delivering results
• A strategic thinker with strong business judgment and analytical skills, who is able to problem-solve as issues arise
• Excellent project management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently (independently and with teams), to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability developing materials and effectively presenting to executive audiences
• Expert user of PowerPoint and skilled in the practical application of AI tools in the workplace

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
