Client Service & Support (CS&S) is the primary service and trading organization for Schwab Investor Services. CS&S supports retail clients and helps fulfill our purpose to championing every client’s goals with passion and integrity. We’re seeking a Director of Trader Service to provide leadership for 6-10 teams, with total oversight of approximately 60-100 employees. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of success leading large-scale organizations and extensive experience working with active traders.

In Trader Service, our vision is to be the most trusted Trade Desk on the street. We support Schwab’s most active and engaged clients, who trade complex products including Equities, Options, Futures and Forex. Our goal is to empower clients by teaching them to practice sound risk management to ultimately make better trades. We do this by engaging them on their trading strategies and offering personalized education and direction to help maximize the tools within our platforms. What you have


Required:

  • Active FINRA Series 7, 63 (or 66), and 9/10 (or 24/4) licenses required.
  • Proven record leading large service teams who support unique and complex client inquiries, with a focus on deepening client experience and demonstrated ability to develop leadership and management skills in coaching and developing people at all performance levels via established performance objectives, regular feedback, and appropriate recognition.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial services industry, including trading, risk management, and service delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of derivative and margin trading, including options, futures, forex, margin rules and regulations, and market structure.
  • Thrives in and exercises excellent judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic, often uncertain environment.
  • Strong conceptual, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative client-centric solutions to complex business opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated success with staffing and capacity planning.
  • Superior emotional intelligence and executive presence.
  • Professionalism and strong, proactive work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to all levels of stakeholders, to influence, build consensus, and integrate complex information.
  • Experience working collaboratively with peers and business partners with potentially disparate objectives.
  • Culture leader with ability to inspire, influence, and lead large organizations through change.
  • Established brand of trust and credibility as a peer, business partner, and leader.
  • History of joint accountability, driving team, Trader Service, and CS&S results.
