Your Opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the financial services industry together.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).  This role is expected to be in the office 4 days a week.

At Charles Schwab, we believe that investing in people creates better outcomes for our clients, our business, and one another. We’re seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our Agile Project Management Office (APMO) team, where you’ll play a key role in enabling product delivery excellence across the enterprise while supporting strong risk, compliance, and control practices.

This role is ideal for someone who is curious, analytical, and energized by solving complex business problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how work gets done across multiple lines of business while partnering closely with product, technology, and operations teams.

What you’ll do:

As a Business Systems Analysis, Senior Manager on the APMO team, you’ll help translate cross‑enterprise business needs into clear, actionable solutions that improve workflows, enable delivery, and drive measurable outcomes.

You will:

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders across multiple lines of business to elicit, analyze, and document business needs, translating them into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate working sessions to drive alignment on scope, assumptions, priorities, success metrics, and delivery approach; surface risks, resolve ambiguity, and escalate decisions when needed.
  • Model current- and future-state processes (such as journey maps, process flows, and use cases) to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and control effectiveness.
  • Assess end-to-end impacts, integrations, and cross-domain dependencies; collaborate with partner teams to plan sequencing, manage handoffs, and reduce delivery risk.
  • Create and maintain Agile delivery artifacts, including epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, engineers, QA, and operations teams to ensure requirements are testable, traceable, and aligned to intended outcomes.
  • Support QA and UAT activities, including planning, execution, defect triage, and release readiness.
  • Contribute to change management efforts by supporting communications, training materials, and stakeholder readiness to drive successful adoption.

What you are good at:

You bring strong analytical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills, along with the ability to navigate complexity and drive clarity. You are known for:

  • Breaking down complex systems and processes in ways that build shared understanding and alignment.
  • Synthesizing data, identifying patterns, resolving ambiguity, and delivering insights that support informed decision-making.
  • Communicating clearly and confidently with business partners, technical teams, and leaders at all levels.
  • Building trust and credibility through expertise, integrity, and follow-through.
  • Creating strong partnerships and fostering collaboration across teams and functions.
  • Using data visualization and storytelling techniques to highlight risks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Working independently while managing multiple priorities with minimal direction.
  • Applying Agile principles and practices, such as Scrum and/or Kanban, to support effective delivery.
  • Anticipating cross-domain impacts and dependencies in complex, integrated environments.

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have:

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a comparable role supporting SDLC and/or product delivery lifecycles.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, and communicate business requirements across multiple teams, ensuring alignment from discovery through delivery.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and/or Kanban.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, technologies, tools, and business needs.
  • Experience supporting technology standards, controls, and governance practices to promote consistency and quality across initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the financial services industry, with exposure to brokerage, banking, or related domains.
  • Experience supporting QA and UAT testing processes.
  • Strong technical aptitude and comfort partnering closely with engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory or compliance frameworks and their impact on system requirements and controls.
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA.
  • Interest in emerging technologies, including how AI-enabled tools can improve business analysis, documentation, and delivery outcomes.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
