The Manager, Software Engineer (57) leads complex technical initiatives within R&D,
transforming early-stage concepts into functional prototypes that advance Schwab’s
innovation agenda. This position will be responsible for building out foundational
technology for the R&D team to build on to develop innovative proof-of-concepts for the
company.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced prototypes and solutions across areas such as generative AI,
digital assets, and immersive technologies.
- Guide technical direction for early research efforts, providing architectural insight
and practical recommendations.
- Mentor engineers and support onboarding in areas like agentic frameworks, web3,
and other emerging technologies.
- Collaborate across organizations on product-aligned initiatives, platform
integrations, and cross-team prototypes.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, including leading demos and presentations
for senior leadership and large internal groups.

Qualifications & Expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field
- 6-8 years experience working with emerging technologies and developing PoCs
- Ability to convert ambiguous technical ideas into high-quality engineering outputs.
- Familiarity with several programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, Go, and
Node.js.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AI systems, agent orchestration, and web3
development.
- Proven mentorship
